 10-08-99 New Star Tours Remodeling.
Not only is Disneyland getting a new Star Tours experience on the inside; the out side is being remodeled as well. The new ride is rumored to consist of Tatooine's Pod Race.
Cool huh? Notice the speeder in the lower left corner .
 

Welcome to Star Tours

This is a small little page with some images from the Star Tours ride in Disneyland, California.

The images are not the best of quality and for that I apologise but, this went from 35MM video to VHS and finally to video capture so you can understand why the quality is so low.



The large overhead monitor as you wait in line shows destination highlights offered by Star Tours.

The safety video before you board shows that flash photography is not allowed. You see here a Wookie and A Mon Calamari covering their eyes after the kid in front of them just took a picture. Immediately afterwards the Mon Cal makes a Why-I-oughta-hit-you motion with his hand.

This is Rex, your pilot aboard the StarSpeeder 3000. There is a warning labele around him that says "remove before flight." Not a good sign.


Preparing to leave. You see another StarSpeeder ahead of you.

Your trust pilot Rex goes the wrong way and starts taking you through the innards of the Star Tours facility.

A StarSpeeder ahead of you makes the transition to hyperspace. This image was maniuplated by me and is actually two images overlapping one another. Pretty cool huh?
More scenes from the ride. I'm not going to spoil anything else in case you've never been on it. Later I may add images of what you experience while waiting in line for Star Tours.
