 Lightsabers
Yes, another page devoted to this weapon that really doesn't exist)

This page, instead of showing the weapon in action shows the weapon it's self including the internal makeup of Anakin Skywalker's blade passed down to his son.
12-03-99 "NEW" Lightsaber blade!!
From the imagination of your webmaster comes a new Lightsaber blade, just in time for Christmas! The new two-tone blade!! Click on the pic to the left to see a close-up of this new blade!

Young Jedi CCG Saber card images
A sampling of some of the cards featuring lightsabers in the Young Jedi CCG. Click on the picture for the larger image.

CG art
I found this on the web and decided to include it becuase I thought it was cool. Click for larger. The smaller image shown here is the orginal while the larger has been modified slightly by me for a blade with a bit more glow to it.
 My Saber

The emitter doesn't really glow like thisMy lightsaber that I constructed using very common easy to find parts from local stores. Anyone could make this. Instructions on how to do so are located on my Jedi Council page.

You know of course that you can't be a true Jedi until you've fashioned your own blade, right?

Click on the image for the full size. Please note that the saber pictured as Mace's is not his. Scroll down lower for details on this perpetual mistake regarding the Real Mace saber.
Two images from the Young Jedi CCG. Click on the images for the larger versions.
 Darth Maul's Saber

Image above taken from Playboy magazine. (One of the few things cooler than Star Wars)

 Darth Maul's Saber
I included this banner originally seen on the official Star Wars site becuase of the nice detail it shows of a portion of Darth Maul's sabre.
 The Mace Windu Saber conspiracy
This is Mace windu's saber as seen in many sources including the picture rich Star Wars Insider magazine. Now if you look at May 1999 issue of playboy or the Star wars Episode I visual dictionary you will see a differant lightsaber. One is even the same photo of him standing there! Which is the real lightsaber?

Update: Next time I saw the movie I watched Mace carefully. The saber pictured here is his. It can be plainly seen hanging from his belt at the ceremony. But why the different picture in the visual dictionary?
 More CCG sabers
This is an image of a light side force user's lightsaber as pictured in the Star Wars CCG. I like the design on this one, I may have to see if I can replicate it.

From the same source, pictured here is a sith lightsaber. Personally I think this one looks more like a good guy's weapon and the other looks more fitting for a Sith but, what do I know?

 Luke's saber (ANH)

This is Luke Skywalker's Lightsaber from Star Wars a New Hope. It was originally his father's and given to the Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi to pass on to his son when he was old enough. This prop differs slightly from the one used in Empire despite the fact that it's suppossed to be the same weapon. True fans will already know the differances but I am here for true fans in training and will now tell you what they are. The D-clip that connects the blade to the utility belt is attached to the pummel of the hilt differently and the bubble strip (in the center, seen above) was replaced with a metal grid. This can best be seen in Empire right before Boba Fett has shot at Luke and R2-D2 is trying to get Luke to continue moving.

These are the internal workings of the same Lighsaber seen above. For years I've wondered what the inside of a lightsaber would look like and now thanks to the Star Wars Visual Dictionary I know. The Adegan crystals that focus th energy from the power cell are seen in the center of the hilt. The Multiple crystal configuration allow for different blade lengths and amplitudes. The long silver colored cylinder is the diatium power cell which is surrounded by the power field conductor. The indentations in the length of the power field conductor are the power vortex rings.

The gold shaft near the emitter is the blade arc tip while the two ribbed gold shafts are the cycling field energizers. the gold shaft between these two energizers seen underneath the wiring is the blade energy channel.

More Sabers

The two lightsabers above belonged to Obi-Wan Kenobi (top) and Luke Skywalker (bottom, from Return of the Jedi) These sabers are my favorites. I love the designs of these hilts. While Obi-Wan's, Vader's and Lukes sabers from Star Wars were cobbled together from existing items Luke's from Jedi was the first Saber prop to be a completely machined item.

 Vader's saber

As the picture says, this is Darth Vader's lightsaber. You'll notice the belt ring is at the top of the hilt instead of the bottom so when the saber is hanging from Vader's belt the emitter is pointing up.
This is Vader's saber from Empire and Jedi and not the one he used in Star Wars.

The top saber is Luke's from Jedi as seen in the film, the second one is a variant not seen and the third is Vader's saber from Star Wars.

Obi-wan's lightsaber from Episode 1, personally I think this design is hideous. The ball on the end just unbalances the entire look and I don't care for the emitter end either.
