A Watery Grave

Prologue: It's a blast from the past as the infamous Hexagon comes to Miami and puts into motion a series of seemingly unrelated events that draw several of Florida's metahumans into the fray.·
Chapter 01: The Edge of Night - An upset Jarod Mace rides off into the Miami night, and finds more than he bargained for when he comes upon Vagabond exiting the Historical Museum of South Florida and the Caribbean at 3:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning.·
Chapter 02: Beachfront Brawl - Morningstar seeks aid from Miami's finest, then ends up taking on Mithryl and Pandora right in the middle of suburbia, discovering that The Hexagon is a lot tougher than the Royal Flush Group.
·
Chapter 03: A Terrible Morning - Scenes of devastation and a kidnapping await Sprite at the University of Miami in Coral Gables when she answers a call from friend and confidante Dr. Templeton Baker. The mystery of the Santo Cristobal galleon begins to emerge as Baker's own life is threatened.·
Chapter 04: Mind Games - Rick Majors, beloved as America's foremost retired superhero, the original All-American, is attacked at Walt Disney's Wild Kingdom in Orlando, and a vacationing Jolene Rasmussen takes on the esper responsible.·
Chapter 05: The Bold and The Brash - Matrix makes a very noticeable splash at Orlando's Mercy Hospital while on the trail of a story for his employer - The Miami Herald; and even manages to pick up a few pointers from a hero's hero.·
Chapter 06: Catching Clues - Sprite and Dr. Baker travel to the Historical Museum of South Florida and the Caribbean, where Thena manages to steer clear of lecherous museum curator Wilson Thierry long enough for her and Baker to put two-and-two together and make some discoveries about the Old Man.·
Chapter 07: Planning Session - Sprite and Dr. Baker do lunch and come up with a plan designed to save Baker's friend Arturo Martinez from The Hexagon, one that hopefully will let them all walk away alive.·
Chapter 08: The Third Degree - Jarod Mace gets grilled by the cops, which just makes the rebellious young man's day. Detectives Lake and Billings are on his tail, and have more than few questions and concerns about Mace and his involvement in the goings-on at the Historical Museum of South Florida and the Caribbean earlier that day.·
Chapter 09: Legal Briefs - Matrix attends a briefing for state and regional law enforcement agencies, makes a pact with Silver Avenger Travis Hatcher, then travels to Disney's Wild Kingdom to lend a hand. Once there, Matrix joins up with Disney Ranger Captain Amy Rogers in the latter's plan to interrogate Whisper.
·
Chapter 10: Degeneration Gap - Jarod Mace visits his estranged father at the Coast Guard station in an attempt to get some answers, then wishes he hadn't. Morningstar learns that The Hexagon is attempting to blackmail his father by threatening him and his mother. However, the admiral has a few tricks of his own up his sleeve.·
Chapter 11: Eye of the Beholder - Beholder, Matrix, and Amy Rogers steel themselves for the encounter with the prisoner Whisper. Good thing, as the fateful interrogation turns ugly at the Disney Ranger facilities, as extreme methods are used to keep the assassin in line by Beholder, Matrix, All-American IV, and Amy Rogers, actually putting the prisoner's life in danger.·
Chapter 12: A Broken Home - Sprite plays detective, picking up quite a few useful clues as Thena and Templeton take a drive in the war-zone that should be quiet suburbia at its best. Investigating further, Sprite becomes involved in a deadly game of cat and mouse with the metahuman villain Vagabond at the beach house on Haviland Drive.·
Chapter 13: The Good Guys? - Sprite has a heart-to-heart with the mysterious watchers on the beach, who turn out to be operatives of PRIMUS and the Defense Intelligence Agency. PRIMUS Agent Pierce gets Thena to agree to keep PRIMUS in the loop as much as possible, while DIA Agent Carson comes off as anything but friendly to the blonde fairy.·
Chapter 14: Strategic Shortcomings - Beholder, Matrix, Amy Rogers, and PRIMUS decide not to try to rescue Arturo Martinez from the yacht, instead concentrating on foiling The Hexagon's plans to steal a submarine from the Coast Guard station in Miami.·
Chapter 15: Eye of the Storm - Sprite flies from Haviland Drive to Rebekah Barrett's apartment, where she meets up with her confidante-in-hiding Dr. Templeton Baker. The two compares notes - Thena from what she learned at the beach house; Baker from what he saw broadcast on the television news - then race off to the Historical Museum of South Florida and the Caribbean when Baker's warning calls to Wilson Thierry go unanswered.·
Chapter 16: A Chilling Reception - Sprite flies ahead to the Historical Museum of South Florida and the Caribbean, quickly discovering that all is not well. There she meets up with not one but two fellow immortals: the infamous Old Man, leader of The Hexagon, and the mysterious sorcerer Winter, who warns her of a coming conflict with the Sidhe.·
Chapter 17: Ancient Relics - Unwilling to depart because of the presence of the museum receptionist as potential victim, Sprite faces off against Winter and the Old Man. However, conversation seems the point of interest, wherein Thena learns about the Oroborus - a secret conclave of immortals that have banded together over the eons.·
Chapter 18: The Boys in Blue - Jarod Mace calls his contacts with the Miami Police Department, then drives out toward the Everglades, where he changes into his Morningstar garb and pays a visit to a surprisingly helpful Detective Billings - Jarod Mace's favorite "ape-man" cop.·
Chapter 19: Office Gossip - Sprite contacts PRIMUS, then revives the mysterious receptionist as she waits for the law enforcement agents to arrive. Thena and the receptionist have a heart-to-heart about the nature of humanity as Sprite's concern grows for increasingly late-arriving Templeton Baker.·
Chapter 20: Military Intelligence - Beholder, Matrix, Morningstar, Sprite, Amy Rogers, "Jill", and several notable PRIMUS operatives and Disney Ranger personnel gather to share information. The Silver Avenger Hatcher host a little pow-wow to share information. However, certain information known by PRIMUS and the heroes from Orlando is withheld from the Miami contingent by design and oversight, respectively - which leads to suspicions on the part of some.·
Chapter 21: Myth Perceptions - The masked mystic Seraph is drawn to the Historical Museum of South Florida and the Caribbean, both via newscasts heralding the PRIMUS presence and Seraph's mystical sensing that Sprite is in the building. However, the mystic gets more than he bargained for when he becomes the target of metahuman assassins on the trail of the Old Man.·
Chapter 22: The Deep End - Beholder, "Jill", Matrix, and Morningstar grab a bite at Taco Bell as they try to ascertain the state of affairs at the U.S. Coast Guard research station near Miami Beach, which appears to have gone on high-alert status.·
Chapter 23: Night-Borne Nymph - Seraph, Agent Claire Hardin, and two PRIMUS Metahuman Containment Teams track down Sprite, after Thena led off the murderous Gargoyle in an attempt to save the lives of PRIMUS operatives at the museum. What they find are new clues and Selune, who has taken her sister Sprite's place in the corporeal world after the blonde fairy had a building fall on her.·
Chapter 24: Major Pain - Beholder, "Jill", Matrix, and a reluctant Morningstar try to break into the base, thereby exposing the presence of a specialized military contingent secreted at the Coast Guard station and running afoul of the unit's commanding officer.·
Chapter 25: Pound of Flesh - Beholder, "Jill", Matrix, and Morningstar try to come to terms with the fall-out of their actions, both from their aborted break-in at the Coast Guard station and earlier in Orlando as they become exposed to the political uproar of the Tortureland scenario.
