File No. 628756-FA-3928-G

SUBJECT: Matrix

It is obvious that the metahuman vigilante Matrix hails from Great Britain. He actually advertises this fact, both by his accent and the Union Jack flag emblem he wears on his uniform. PRIMUS observation and psychological profiles indicate he is somewhat vain, impulsive, arrogant, a womanizer, and something of a jokester during combat situations. However, most noteworthy is that Matrix has exhibited a certain pragmatic attitude when dealing with criminals, alleged or otherwise: the result is that he is not above using extreme force when he feels the situation deems it necessary. This makes Matrix feared by many criminals, but also potentially dangerous to the civilian population.

The United States Office of Immigration currently is keeping a close eye on Matrix and his activities in the United States. He did not request nor was he issued a work visa under his vigilante identity. One may assume that he did so under his true name, but - as of now - there is no way to verify this. Defense Intelligence Agency officials submitted a memo in regards to this fact, citing that it may provide a means to either curtail Matrix's activities or make him more cooperative with federal, state, and private law enforcement entities.

Matrix has been given a PRIMUS Threat Level Designation of Seven (7). Agents should use caution if in a situation of potential conflict. This metahuman's varied abilities and demonstrated willingness to use excessive force would make him a dangerous and possibly lethal opponent.

IDENTITY: Unknown (Patrick Kent)

HEIGHT: 6'0"

WEIGHT: 200 lbs., approximate estimation

HAIR: Blonde

EYES: Blue

RACE: Caucasian

APPEARANCE: Matrix is a handsome man whose vigilante uniform generally is a mostly white, shimmering bodysuit with a Union Jack flag emblem prominent over the left breast.

Matrix possesses the superhuman ability to apparently manipulate most or all types of energy, to varying effects. He has been known to generate destructive blasts of everything from lighting bolts to compressed sonics. Matrix also possesses the power of flight, can surround himself in a glowing force field, and seems to be able to alter the molecular structure of his clothing at will. It is possible that he possesses other unknown abilities as well, given his demonstrated mastery in manipulating many types of energy.

Major facts that PRIMUS does not know...

Matrix actually is Patrick Kent, a reporter for the Miami Herald newspaper. A native of Great Britain, Kent tired of the lack of respect given "autarchs" - the term used for metahumans in jolly old England - in his native land and so journeyed to the United States to set up residence. He chose to reside in Miami because of the weather, level of extensive "action" present in the Caribbean and Gulf States, Florida babes, and the fact that he was able to secure employment with the Herald - mostly because of the Florida babes. In the year or so that Matrix has been in the United States, Patrick Kent has risen to become one of that newspapers best - if most frustrating to his boss - reporters. Kent has the dubious distinction of disappearing, sometimes for days on end. However, Kent always seems to reappear with story in hand. This has saved his job numerous times, though "discussions" between reporter and editor continue to be a constant feature of the newsroom.
