Owen and Beru Lars
Owen nad Beru Lars are Luke Skywalker's foster
parents. They are actually blood releations of Aunt and Uncle
with Owen being Darth Vaders
brother. Obi wan Kenobi
brought Luke as a child to them and bade them live on tatooine
away from the Jedis and the new Empire.
Owen and Beru are mositure farmers and as such lead a hard existance with the risk that they may not make enough to live on, however their homestead is a happy one and although they are not rich they are not poor either with plenty of Mositure vapourateors, droids and two speeders. They often go to Anchorhead, a nearby town to sell water remaining after their use, buy parts and sell plants grown in hydrophonics.
There was a lot of tension between Luke and Owen as Luke wants to leave for pilot training at the Academy like his friends, but Owen wants him to stay "one more season" to help with the running of the farm. Owen and Beru are tradgically killed by stormtroopers seeking for the droids R2D2 and C3P0.
