Obi Wan Kenobi (Ben Kenobi (General of the Old Republic))
Obi Wan Kenobi was one the last Jedi
Knights. He sheltered from the Emperor's prejuise of this ancient religon by
sheltering on Tatooine near where Luke Skywalker was brought up. He addapted to
the life of the hermit and lived relativley peacfully with the
moisture farmers, Jawas and
Tusken raiders. Here he
became know as Old Ben, keeping a watching eye over Luke
Skywalker son of his ex-pupil Darth
Vader. Anakin Skywalker had two children unkown to him, Leia
Organa and Luke Skywalker, he took Leia to Alderaan where she was adopted by Bail
Organa, the senator and later leader of the rebellion before his
planet was destroyed. Luke went to tatooine and worked on a
moisture farm with his uncle
owen and aunt Beru.
He stayed on Tatooine 
until Leia's
droids, R2D2 and C3P0 were brought to him with
Luke. Obi wan then hired the Falcon
to transport them to Alderaan.
Unfortually Alderaan was destroyed by the Death Star and the Millenium Falcon captured, Obi wan then
deactivated the Tractor beams holding the ships allowing Han Solo, Luke and the recently freed Leia to escape. Ben
was killed on the death star by his former pupil Darth Vader but since then he
became stronger in the force and has become a ghost like advisor
to Luke. In this form it was he who instucted Luke to use the
force and shoot the protron torpedeo manually to destroy the death star and to tell him
to go to dragoba to complete his training.
