Lando Calrisian
Lando is a one
time smuggler who won the right to be Baron administrator of the
legitimate business of Tibana gas mining on Bespin. He was once Han Solo's friend and owned the millenium falcon untill he
lost it to Han in a game of sabacc. Lando became quiye
respectable in his new postion, but his past brought the Empire
to his fair city and was forced to sell out his old smuggling
partner Han Solo. Feeling guilty about this he helped Leia, Luke, chewbacca
and the droids to escape.
He then joined the alliance, freed Han
from Jabba the Hutt's
clutches by pretending to be one of Jabba's entourage, he was on
the skiff as one of their guards over the sarlaac pit. He
alsolead the fighter attack on the 
second death
star. His rank was General due to a "manover at
Taanab". This manoover consited off him taking out a whole
fleet of pirates a alone, he did this by jettisioning his cargo
of stun nets on to the pirates fleet capturing most of them so he
could return and destroy them with his lasers.
Lando helped save the fleet by relising that the death star's shields were still operational and that the death star's superlaser was armed. Flying the Millinium Falcon with his co-pilot Nien Numb, he proved his worth in battle.
