Jabba's sail Barge and Skiffs
Jabba's sail barge is Jabba's transport for his
palace to his summer house in Mos Eisley, he also used it on his
many trips to the Sarlaac pit where he feeds his prisoners. On
the deck was a heavy blaster and several smaller blasters to give him protection.
Unfortually these weapons were used against the crime lord when Leia fired the heavy blaster
into the deck which caused the whole barge to self destruct. The
barge is a replusor lift vechicle and is powered either by the
engines or the sales depending if Jabba was in a rush or wanted a
nice pleasant float. 
To supplement his barge Jabba also deployed a couple of
Skiffs. These are smaller cargo or passenger carriers which use
the
same replusor lift technology as the
barge. They are controled by a single being at the rear of the
skiff. Jabba used these
skiffs as escourt vechicles, they were however unsuited to this
role as they rock with sudden movements. Jabba also used these to
deliver his prisoners into the Sarlaac pit with extendable gang
planks.
Repulsorlift vechicals such as this are necessary for people on Tatooine due to the sand. The sand makes wheeled vechicals impractical and as walker technology was restricted in Imperial forces Repulsor lift vechicals are the only possibility apart from banthas and dewbaks.
