Imperial Shuttle(Lambda class Shuttle)
The Imperial shuttle is a cargo or
passenger shuttle used by the Empire. It has two foldable wings
and a stationary top wing. It is armoured and carries 3 twin
linked blasters and two twin linked
laser cannons. However it is no match for dedicated star fighters
so Tie fighters or other fighter
cover may be needed to enter a war zone, but normal doctrine
dicates that the shuttle should fly alone due to its armament.
Unlike the TIEs the Imperial shuttle carries a hyperdrive
allowing jumps between systems and fleets.
The Rebellion captured one of these shuttles called Tydirium.
Commanded by Han Solo it
played a instrumental point in getting the Rebel Comando force on
to the moon of Endor so
they could attack on 
the Shield
emplacement on.
Darth Vader and the Emperor both had customised Lambda class shuttles as personal transports with holonet transievers, additional weaponary and shields, faster engines and rummered to be carrying a prototype cloaking device.
