Rebel Frigate
The Alliance use a huge array of ships
to make up their make-shift fleets. The Nebulon-B frigate is one
of them. It is a medium class war ship and packs lots of
weaponary for its class, they carry many fighters of all the
common types eg x wings and
B wings and have docing
ports on the outer hull for medium class freighters such as the millenium falcon. Some
frigates have been converted to other functions such as the
medical frigate which treated Luke's hand after his encounter
with vader in Bespin.
The frigate was orginally design by
Imperial Techs for use against Rebel star fighter attacks which
were having numerous victories on convoys. The allaince gained
these verstile ships when crews defected and by disabling the
ships with ion cannons. The ships are armed with turbolasers and
laser batteries in equal numbers and a pair of tractor beam
projectors.
