Bowcaster
A bowcaster is a Wookie weapon which
although less primitive gives the same amount of damage as a blaster. A Bowcaster can
only be used by a Wookie or another large creature due the huge
strength needed to pull back the string.
The Bowcaster is effectivley a laser crossbow which uses an explosive quarral which is shiefed in an energy envalope which gives it the apperance of an energy bolt. The primitive arming system gives it a lower arming time giving an opponent an oppunity to kill the wookie whilst loading, to counteract this some bowcasters are layered to fire more than one quarrel with out reloading. Chewbacca carries a bowcaster and uses it to graet effect.
