Blaster
There are two types of blasters, one
which is carried by person and another which is mounted on
vechicles and star craft.
The main side arm, used in the galaxy, this weapon comes in many forms, pistols, rifles etc. It fires a laser bolt which is consucted from ionised gas, for example the Tibana gas mined on Bespin. It also requires an electrical charge supplied by a power pack. A handheld blaster has little chance of pentrating armour of a starcraft but is a very sucessful weapon being able to cut through storm trooper armour. Both sides of the civil war use blasters. The only disadvange of blasters over normal solid shot weaponary, are that the blasts are affected by magnetically shielded objercts causing them to be reflectedcted also shots easily give away the firers postion due to the blast being bright coloured, a blaster with a wavelength over that of human vision has been created although can only fire a few shots before exhaustion
Han Solo carries a heavy blaster pistol, this pistol packs the punch of a blaster rifle into a hand held weapon and can easily cut through armour but has less shots per power pack so requiring aiming. Hans Blaster is equiped with a scope which allows motion sensing and infrared sighting.
This stsonger vechical blaster is mounted upon a few star
ships which lack turbolaser emplacements, like the smaller
weapons 
its is powered by blaster gas and
electrical power, generated from the starship's reactor core or
vechical's battery packs. Like the pistol it comes in many models
and capabilities for example the heavy blasters mounted on the At Ats to the repeating blaster mounted
on the Falcon. The
snowspeeder is also equiped with blaster cannons, which atre of
the weaker varity as tehy cannot pentrate ATAT armour.
