AT-AT (All Terrain Armoured Transport)
The AT AT is the Empires main land
assult vechical. It is over 20 metres long and very durable if a
little slow. It can take lots of punishment and is actually
imperivous to some laser fire for example the laser batteries
depolyed by the rebels at Hoth. AT AT walkers are unstoppable and
able to crush and demoralise enemy without much loss.
The armament is mouted in the head section, which is also the
command pod. These consists of 2 heavy laser cannons on the chin
and 2 medium blasters on either side.
The body section can be used as a transport module either for
cargo which needs the protection of the walker or 
Troops such as Stormtroopers.
The AT AT however has one important weakness - The fragility of its legs as shown by Luke Skywalker and Wedge Antillies. The lasers of their Snowspeeders could not penentrate the vast armour of the walkers so they used tow cables to wrap up the legs and pull them over. Luke also killed one single handedly when he use a magnetic mine on the under belly of the AT AT walker who was about to step on him.
