| What is the Wing Gundam 0? | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Wing 0 is one of the most powerful and most violent Gundams ever produced, along with the Epyon, its descendant. With the Zero System, it enhances the pilot's ability in combat by directly linking the mobile suit systems to the pilot's brain, giving him data and what action to do is appropriate. However, this makes him/her hallucinate, eventually making the pilot go berserk and attack anything the mobile suit's Zero System deems fit. An extremely brutal piece of hardware that was the forerunner of the current Gundams and a derivative of the TallGeese, it was supposedly never completed because of its inherent tendency to make the pilot go berserker. However, it was later constructed by Quatre Winner as his own mobile suit after he self-destructed his Sandrock Gundam in the Battle at Singapore Military Base. A lot had the chance to pilot this Gundam, even by soldiers of OZ, but was eventually used by Heero Yuy. | By the way : All pictures are copyright of their respective owners, in this case Bandai.Thanks also to those people whom I got the art, like the Mecha Domain and other sites I can't recall at the moment, but you know who you are, and to those people at Gundam Mailing List for answering my ZERO System questions. The ZERO System -- an acronym for Zoning & Emotional Range Omitted, if we're to believe the Technical Term manual that accompanied the Operation 3 CD -- wires the pilot's brain directly into the control system. In effect, the MS becomes a manned Mobile Doll -- the pilot becomes the MS. However, this system is not for weak-minded pilots or first timers-they start visualizing all kinds of worst-case scenarios, inducing them into a state of panicked catatonia.
