AVIATION SEACADTRAFACHST Squadron Training Department![]()
1999 HAS BEEN OUR BIGGEST TRAINING CYCLE TO DATE!
The Navy League requests a $30.00 fee to off-set the cost of materials for ground school. All cadets bring pencil and paper for taking notes. Classes are tested. Bring and turn-in correspondence courses (minimum 2), also bring course currently in-work. (contact Training Officer for course issue) All cadets bring PT gear both days, to include: shorts, t-shirts, tennis shoes, and SWEATS. (it will be cold) Working uniform for all non-rated cadets is Dungarees for training at New Century. Completion of special courses ie, HM, Seabee, are required to remain in specialty programs. Advancement Exams will be given at 1000 Saturday and Sunday. Attendance/Training: It is the policy of the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps that the cadet attend a minimum of 75% of scheduled drills. Put simply, you cannot miss more than six (6) days in a calendar year without falling below satisfactory status. It is further policy that cadets who fail to complete correspondence courses in a reasonable period,be discharged for non-participation. Compliance with regulations is an important part of Sea Cadet training, and preparation for future service. Parents are asked to support and encourage their cadet in these two critical areas. |
