If your goal is to learn about one of the
most dynamic, adventure-filled, and exciting Aviation based Squadron's
in the world, then JOIN US!
United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps The HST Squadron offers an aviation and nautically
oriented training program for young Americans, ages 13 through 17, which
is sponsored by the Navy League, and financially supported through various
means. We allow young people to sample military life with no obligation
to join any branch of the Armed Forces.

| Should a cadet decide to enlist in either
the Navy, or Coast Guard, HST's prior USNSCC training may permit enlistment
at an advanced pay grade. The objectives and purposes of USNSCC, as stated
in Public Law 87-655, are:

"... through organization and cooperation
with the Department of the Navy, to encourage and aid
American youth to develop an interest and skill in basic seamanship and in its naval adaptations, to train them in seagoing skills, and to teach them patriotism, courage, self-reliance and kindred virtues." Some of these kindred virtues are teamwork and accountability. |

The NLCC is operated and administered by the USNSCC through executive agreement with the Navy League of the United States. Adult leadership for the NLCC is provided by members of the USNSCC officer corps. The training is similar to that of the NSCC, except at a pace more suited to the age group. Harry S Truman is always looking for motivated
young men and women interested in learning about the Navy and the Military.

We also need adults willing to volunteer to
provide instruction or to assist in administrative duties. Adult volunteers
can receive a Sea Cadet commission and be a member of our Officer Corps.
In addition, Harry S Truman is always in need of financial assistance. We are a non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible. |
