HST Squadron and HST(CVN 75) Reunite

The Officers, Midshipman and Cadets attended the Commissioning of the Truman in July, 1999 and now:

On 20 JUN 2000, the Officers and Cadets of the Harry S Truman Squadron, NSCC will embark on the training period of a lifetime. They will board the newest US nuclear aircraft carrier the, HARRY S TRUMAN(CVN 75) in port at Hampton Roads, VA.  HST will board the Truman and undergo the same rigors as regular Naval Sailors. The first two to three days will be Carrier familiarzation classes (School of the Ship) and finding your way around the ship. Then the Truman will depart port and head out to sea for 8 days. During this 8 day period the RAG and the CAG will do full time flight ops. The deck will be HOT for the entire cruise!! The cadets will disembark from the Truman on 1 July 2000, with memories that will last a lifetime.

During the cruise the cadets will work in the work centers of their choice and the CAG's. They will perform their duties as crewmembers of the Truman and in the same manner. Each Cadet will have an active duty sponsor to look over them while on board.

As this training period develops, we will have up to date info and pictures posted here before, during and after the cruise.

Bon Voyage, gentle seas, return with the gold!!    AAAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH.........................
