Scientist Lukas and sailor Douglas get involved with power-hungry Captain
Nemo (Mason) who operates futuristic submarine. Memorable action sequences,
fine cast make this a winner. Too bad its widescreen CinemaScope look is
lost on TV. Won Oscars for Art Direction and Special Effects. Universal
produced a silent version of this way back in 1916!
