Character Creation
Concept
To put it simply, to come up with a concept for these types of characters,
one must answer a few questions:
1. What kind of a person are you?
2. What has your life been like until the start of the game?
3. Have you any enemies?
4. Have you any friends, allies?
5. What has been your place in the World of Darkness so far?
6a. Do you know you aren't human?
b. If yes, do you know about the Tall Man?
c. If yes, do you care?
Attributes

New abilitiy:
Tall Man Lore -- general knowledge about the Tall Man, his methods,
origins, etc. Can be gleaned through experience, dreams, or flashbacks.
Advantages
VIRTUES:
Being Dead, these characters have no virtues. However, having
their minds intact, they do have a willpower rating of, initially, 5.
POWERS (5 dots initially): Telepathy, Enhanced Strength, Telekinesis
These characters do have certain powers, but ONLY if they know they
are what they are. These powers can be taught by Mike (see Mentor
background below) or learned by time and training. See
Section 3, "The Powers," for more information.
Backgrounds
Characters get 7 points.
-
Allies: See Vampire, The Masquerade
-
Contacts: See Vampire, The Masquerade
-
Fame: See Vampire, The Masquerade
-
Influence: See Vampire, The Masquerade
-
Mentor (Mike): Basically, this background is a level of telepathic
contact the character has with Mike Pearson, the first (or second) of their
kind. It has a level 4 maximum at the moment. Basically, each
dot represents one "dream" Mike has managed to telepathically transmit
to the character, giving the character access to the information within.
This requires a Telepathy Power of 1. (Basically, out of game, this
means the Phantasm movies. For example, if a character has a Mentor
of 3, it means he has "dreamed" the movies Phantasm, Phantasm II and Phantasm
III. NOTE: For all dreams of Phantasm II, Mike looks like he does
in parts III and IV.) Optionally, the Storyteller can give the character
clues, as Mike may "speak" to the character telepathically.

Merits and Flaws
-
Supernatural Friend (5 pt Merit)
You have a "Something" as a close friend, be it vampire, mage, werewolf,
etc.
-
Charmed Existance (5 pt Merit)
See Vampire: The Masquerade
-
Curiosity (2 pt Flaw)
See Mage
-
Lifesaver (3 pt Flaw)
-
See Vampire: The Masquerade
-
Danger Sense (5 pt Merit)
See Vampire: The Masquerade
-
Sphere Ally (7 pt Merit)
Requirements for this merit: one must also have a Mentor of 3 and be
aware of what he/she is. This merit allows the character to have
access to another of his/her own kind who has lost his/her physical body
and can aid the character in emergencies. An example would be Jody
(Mike's brother) as he acted in Phantasm III/IV. This ally is Storyteller
controlled, however, and may have his/her own agenda. (NOTE: Mike,
Jody, the Tall Man, and other characters from the Phantasm films may NOT
be taken as allies. They are otherwise detained.)
-
Hunted by the Tall Man (7 pt Flaw)
The Tall Man has recently re-discovered you or you have accidentally
ran into him. He is now actively pursuing you to remove the sphere
in your head.
