"TRANSMUTING THE PROPHECIES!" |
There are two patterns in the chart of the eclipse of August 11 1999: the one being a Grand Square in the fixed signs, and these fixed signs being the four "animals" in front of the 24 elders before the throne of God: the Scorpio or Eagle, the Bull, the Lion and the Human Being (Aquarius). These same four animals are depicted in another image, situated in front of another throne of God, namely in the Sphinx before the Great Pyramid in Gizeh..
Symbolically speaking one could say that the eclipse is almost like a kind of pyramid in space, as if a pyramid of shadows is created by the solar eclipse:
And who knows, maybe the eclipse on August 11 does mean an incredible moment in time, a planetary initiation rite, an initiation in the great mystery of Light itself, a secret carefully guarded by the Sphinx, by the 4 animals, and the 24 elders (which are the 12 signs in bipolar or dual fashion).
So the one pattern arises in the signs Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius: the Sun/Moon conjunction opposite Uranus near the lunar nodes, square Saturn in Taurus and square Mars in Scorpio.
The other pattern is formed by some lighter energies: Mercury, Jupiter and Neptune in T-square formation, with sextiles to Pluto and Venus. This energy could be viewed as the spiritual side of things, guarded by this Grand Cosmic square in the fixed signs. Yet this energy also takes care everything will eventually turn towards the better.
What IS the big challenge of the fixed signs in reality?
- In Taurus people are being tested on greed
- In Leo people are being tested on pride
- In Scorpio the test is about hatred and jealousy: do they or do they not surface when injustices are felt?
- In Aquarius the test is on the ability of people to think for themselves in terms of mutual respect for other people. Amongst others.
I once had some kind of a vision. (That fits these kind of stories on the coming August-eclipse where the Revelation of John and the Prophecies of Nostradamus are referred to all the time also) This little vision took place on the same moment in time, thus I read afterwards, when 50 graves of ancient pharaos in Egypt were opened all in one go (in the summer of 1995)....
And in this vision it became clear that God, or the Light, forgives everything on the Day of the Last Judgment, or put it better, on that moment in time where we face our true Self and judge ourselves anew from the perspective of the Soul. If one is full of greed, (the test of Taurus), this will be forgiven. If one is full of revenge and consumed by hatred, this is forgiven. If one is full of pride (Leo's test), this is forgiven. If you have exchanged truth for opinion and have little respect for other people (the test of Aquarius), this will be forgiven too.
In fact, even if one is full of greed AND hatred, this is being forgiven. Or if one is full of hatred AND pride AND greed, this is forgiven. Really, EVERYTHING is being forgiven on the last day. And if you can forgive yourself vis-a-vis all those things that make up the collective shadow (eclipse) of humankind, the Sfinx will let you true to the inner Light. To the temple, or the Pyramid, to meet the Gods.
There is only one circumstance that will NEVER be forgiven, and that is the human being who full of hatred AND pride without any compassion for other people wants to enrich him/herself at the cost of other people (i.e. ALL four signs in negative aspect cooperating). This is the biggest shadow of mankind, and this is the message of the solar eclipse on August 11 1999. It is a fitting description of the blackest, darkest soul walking this planet, totally lost, disconnected from his soul, deaf and blind in his pride and hatred, without feeling and cold towards his fellow human beings and who sacrifices these for the sake of himself.
It may even be that it appears in these times that an individual like that no longer will be given political power, that the dark shrinks into itself as it were, because of the enormous attempts of human beings everywhere to send love on a worldwide scale, to guarantee peace and respect for all people. The Internet brings people together, as a reflection of that which is happening in the inner meditative spiritual states of Man. It simply can be SEEN and FELT that people all over the planet already started to connect up in good will and help strengthen the power of good. Which does not necessarily mean that it is already peace and quiet everywhere. We can see for ourselves that there is a lot of goodwill for all cultures, all peoples on the planet, with one exception: the cultus of hate and division. And again: even this is being forgiven, as long as it is not part of a fourfold pattern as described above.
What is the symbolism of all four planets individually, exactly on the moment of the eclipse? (from Dane Rudhyar's Astrological Mandala, Vintage Press, 1974).
Let's start with the Lunar Nodes, which play such an important role during eclipse time, and indicate the path of humanity. The Southern Node is on 13 Aquarius conjunct Uranus on 15 Aquarius. Uranus indicates that we are liberating ourselves from past patterns. The 13th degree of Aquarius in fact has to do with prophecy, it is one of the very few astrological degrees in the Mandala, and I know this so well, because this degree is occupied by my North Node in my chart. The 13th degree of Aquarius has to do with ANTICIPATION , it deals with a barometer, and with the consciousness of cyclical processes including the process of astrology. But in the chart of august 1999 this is exactly the pattern that is broken through by Uranus. Each one of us predicting something about the eclipse of August 1999 could find out that he or she is wrong. That the predictions don't work. The pattern of prediction itself (as well as Nostradamus prophecy) is simple broken by Uranus: by transmuting the prophecies!
And how is this pattern released and broken? The symbol for Uranus talks about two people in love, who are happy as birds, singing together. The love for another human being is beautifully symbolized by this Aquarius degree, and the test of Aquarius is met! It is not true that there is inhumaneness, or disrespect for other people, the symbol talks about love and warmth!
The North Node is the path announced for humanity, with the Sun/Moon conjunction near it, and the Sun temporarily eclipsed. In such times we have to seek the Light within. The North Node is on the 13th degree of Leo and the New Moon on the 19th degree of Leo. These are their symbolisms:
The 13th degree of Leo: quiet reminisence of storms, crises and joys past. Which indicates the faculty of Contemplation.
The 19th degree of Leo symbolizes a party on a houseboat. And exactly this degree is the degree which is being eclipsed. The whole of the planet Earth is a houseboat - we are all on it and celebrate a party in quiet contemplation. The light may be turned off for a moment, which is what an eclipse is all about. Therefor, the best thing you can do is join all those on the planet visiting sacred places, close your eyes at the moment supreme, go to the light within and send the energy of peace and inner light to the world. The outer world does not need to see the inner light. That is the message of initiation moments like such an eclipse.
Saturn squares the New Moon and is situated on the 17th degree of Taurus: this is the image of a symbolic battle between swords and torches. When Gautama sat under the Bodhi Tree, he had to fight his own battle in his own way, even though it is an eternal fight. The spiritual light within the greater Soul must struggle against the ego-will that only knows how to use the powers of this material and intellectual world. There is no possibility of escape; it is the energy that arises out of the present moment - the inescapable Now - that the daring individual has to use in the struggle. This symbol gives one the technique of facing all issues as if there were only two opposite sides. So teaches the Bhagavad-Gita. This is the dharma of this stage of human evolution: a stage of POLARIZATION OF VALUES.
On the not so spiritual level, this energy may manifest in the economic world: people disagreeing. On a national level: parties not keeping their promises, stubbornly closing themselves off in only their point of view diametrically opposed to the other's point of view. What will one do? Move to the Mars-in-Scorpio side of matters?
Mars is placed on the 17th degree of Scorpio, which symbol is: a total reliance upon the dictates of the God within. "A woman, fecundated by her own spirit, is "great with child". The mother of the Living God. Thus this is another symbol pointing towards a moment of initiation, a moment of receiving a great Light within.
And on the mundane level this Mars in Scorpio means simply: not my will but Thine will. That may well be the secret of this test on August 11 1999.
Pluto sextiles Neptune, and rules Mars. Neptune rules Uranus, and these planets are the ultimate powers taking care of new openings, verbalized (if one can put it this way) by the square between Mercury and Jupiter.
In the chart depicted above (which in fact is for Holland) Pluto is situated in the second house on the moment of the eclipse. However, in Bhagdad for instance Pluto is rising at this particular moment. If there has to be another war, it must therefor have to do with Iraq once again.The last war if any, of this millennium, and as far as most people are concerned the last war ever. But if war is inextinguishable as a consequence of the greed of mankind, than still it is possible to create a parallel universe, where the battle is the battle with ones own lower elements, rather then projecting these onto others. so that growth may occur, both individually as well as collectively.
Each initiation is a battle, a battle with these lower elements within (the ego) or it is battle fighting fear. Fear has never been a good advisor for people, maybe with the exception of functional fear, demanding one's highest concentration, in order for you not to fall into the depths or something, when jumping across it. The worst form of fear is the fear that others make you believe in, people polarizing groups against one another as we saw happening in the early 90ķes in Yugoslavia. Allowing this to happen belongs to a humanity not thinking for itself, a humanity not taking responsibility and placing authority with others. So Saturn is on the 17th degree of Taurus: the degree of the symbol of the battle between swords and torches. The eternal battle within.
Let's use this eclipse to take responsibility for our own lives, and really learn to cooperate more with our inner knowing, with our higher Self and Soul. A real initiation thereto is not only light, love, comfort and easy. On the contrary, true light and love come forth from power, the power of true being, a being no longer asleep, but victoriousy risen from the battle within.

A few days prior to the eclipse the following "Weekahead" was published and maybe I will eventually report how a group of us celebrated the event and what it meant for us astrologically and otherwise. It was at any rate magical, beyond expectation, it felt like not only the prophecies were transmuted, but the past was seen visibly and clear (the Moon can be seen at a solar eclipse, which is unusual for a New Moon) and was transformed into a true New Beginning, December 31 1999 will for astrologers not be anything special, the true cosmic moment of transformation was August 11 1999.

SEQUEL (The Weekahead of August 6-12 1999)
From the perspective of astrological meaning, it does not matter whether the solar eclipse can physically be seen or not (as all the Europeans over here seem to think (the non astrologers of course) , because the only thing that matters is where it takes place in your chart.
Surinam for instance feels the effect of the LUNAR Eclipse (July 28th) : it aspected Saturn (3 Leo), in the 12th house, as ruler of the 5th : the government, and will feel the SOLAR eclipse as this will be in conjunction with the Moon of Surinam (17+ Leo in the 12th). (A chart is provided on this site, but the accompanying text unfortunately is in Dutch).
If the Solar eclipse is in your cardinal houses (1,4,7,10): expect a load of energy in your relationships (1-7) or professional career (4-10) or all at the same time. With Saturn-90-Uranus a lot of creative tension, leaving the past and moving towards an unknown future is a theme.
Is it in the fixed houses (2,5,8,11) expect creative tension with regard to your intimate relationships, your creativity, your friends and maybe children. Maybe employers or protectors will let you down for a little while, leaving you onto yourself, and getting the ego behaviours out in the open. If the ego is indignified at injustice then watch out. The Moon is visible at this New Moon next week , which is extra-ordinary, and it is pretty black: being confronted with our ego's is not a pretty sight. Don't fall for negative emotions, don't get carried away with it and realize, maybe for the first time in your life, that we are guided by the Light within, God, the Source, and we may feel the difference between normal and between when we think we can do things by ourself, without this Light. If all your decisions don't work: tune back in to the Light of God, realize you can never do things on your own, and become more grateful towards this supportive light (and to my mind, this is the initiatory promise of each solar eclipse).
If the eclipse takes place in the mutable houses (3,6,9,12) : expect a mental pressure - realize it is an extraordinary situation with a power generated by a collective focus of the entire world at one and the same time. Even new Year's Eve doesn't have such a strong focus, as this waves across the world as this moment travels through timezones (it is clocktime based). But an eclipse is celestial time, universal for all, and the whole world joins in a single moment and focusses at one and the same moment. What possibilities, what power can be released! Take care that the energyfields around you are of a high quality, as ALL energyfields are multiplied by 1000 at such a time. Maybe join a meditative group, wishing goodwill to the people of the world, understanding that indeed we are one in God.
Do not allow the heatwave to become heated on the inside, rather, tune in to spiritual heat. And potentially, the world may be reborn, a new way, with the realization that we are all one, and that nature is God's reflection on Earth, out of control at this time, just to assert it's power. A solar eclipse is nothing else but the potential for understanding that not we but God or the Source is our true sustainment.
The Weekahead of August 13:
A little note on the week past: the papers reported that 1) ex president Chin-a-Sen of Surinam died, 2) that most people were dissappointed at the eclipse (because it was cloudy) and 3) that animals did not behave differently than otherwise.
As to 1) : already last week I mentioned that the chart of Surinam and the eclipse were in alignment (and just consider this: the Sun is the centre of the solar system, it is the heart of the matter, it is kings and presidents ...... (and in fact, the Higher Self within all of us). Was this higher Self eclipsed? Or was it possible to view the Lower Self (as the Moon was visible at the time of the eclipse, an unusual situation for a New Moon). Or did we touch upon both at the same time, switching back and forth from lower to higher, to become aware? And choose for either one or the other? As to 3) : we were with a group of 15 astrologers at a sacred site in Belgium. We saw the birds loosing direction. And when the Sun returned a whole herd of sheep started to make an incredible noise. As if to welcome the new. And as to 2): our group spent three days together and had the wits to at the beginning of our meeting cut out all expectations. Because, when expectations are there, we miss the moment of the now. And we wanted to become aware of the moment of that Now, that eclipse energy, of the potential of the planets at that time, and yes, we had an incredible time! It was so magical, one participant even called it the most beautiful experience she had ever had. Astrologically it was very interesting too, as we saw how all the planets were acted out both ways: emotionally, and on the lower level, and at the higher level. Because we were in a ceremony lasting 4 hours around the event, and because all our higher Selves partook in the magic moment, magic was created, and transformation of energy to a level of release and freedom (and Light) did occur. Words cannot describe it. The future was reborn. For astrologers December 31 1999 will be nothing special, as the true cosmic moment of transformation and the birth of the future was August 11 1999.
The Week ahead: Venus'quality will change, as on the 15th she will retrograde back into the sign of Leo (14:12 GMT). Again new gifts that come from the heart! But the most important occurrence next week is Pluto, who will change direction and turn Direct again. So Pluto is practically at a standstill right now, with beautiful aspects to other planets. August 19 at 1:45 am GMT it will go Direct again. So around August 19 you may expect important breakthroughs (or carry them out yourself), if you resonate with this energy and it is pretty likely that this new energy will draw you into the future from the promise done around the eclipsetime, where the past was viewed, and transmuted, and a new future was born. New light, new life: Pluto retrograde always pulls us to the past, to long forgotten pasts including past lives, and Pluto in Direct mode will show you the future again. That first day may feel "odd" as energychannels shift again (So Above So Below, also within our own inner "solar system" as it were), and because of the fact that the world is dualistic, it will be a relief for the one, and maybe a shock for another. But also shocks bring us onto a new path, that in the end will proof to be the exact right path, directed by the Soul, of which we know so little.
