Plot:
Two bank robbing brothers hijack a family and force them to drive to mexico. Where they all go into a bar for a drink and the brothers wait for their contact. They meet up with some trouble and all hell breaks loose. The rodriguez sttyle of directing lends itself to the mayhem, and works nicely in the dramatic parts. It is a tarentino movie though so expect cheesiness and blood and guts.While I'm a bigger fan of el mariachi and resevoir dogs ( rodriguez, tarentino respectively), I did find this an enjoyable film. I woulda been more pleased if the guy in the movie theatre sitting next to me hadn't been masterbating throughout it. It was rather creepy.I'm not sure who he was routing for but The father seemed to bring on the load. Most odd. You will have to put up with tarentino the actor in this but luckly his annoyence factor actually blends in with his charactor nicely so, it's not that bad. Overall it was a nice attempt at a blood bath gorefest so I think it's definately worth a look. While it's neither directors finest, it's definately a good addition to their respective careers.
