Title: A Well-Prepared Shipper On The Web Author: Alli (alli@ecis.com) Rated: PG Category: Humor, X-File Spoilers: Arcadia, and the other Shipper stories Disclaimer: *snigger* Summary: Shippers: if you could go back in time and send one email to an X-Files character, who would it be to? The shipper had to be careful here. If the pictures were too incriminating, she could get them in trouble. So everything had to be done very delicately... There was 6X13arcadia.jpg -- that was a very good choice, even if it technically hadn't happened yet. The full disclosure episodes hadn't even happened yet, actually, meaning The Fowl One and Jeffery Spender-Bender were still frolicking around the X-Files office. Well, she'd see to THAT. The typed in the name of the Arcadia picture and set about looking for another, grinning wildly when she came upon the picture she had appropriately titled "yum.jpg", the manipulated picture from Post-Modern Prometheus. This was even better, because if it was examined, experts would be able to tell it WAS manipulated, and no lasting harm would be done. Well, not to any HUMANS, anyway. "Good work," she told herself. She was beginning to wonder if perhaps she wasn't interfering a little too much. The iced tea, the sleeping bag, Diana's shooting... nothing either of the agents would be terribly suspicious of. But Phoebe flambé, and the incident with the beekeeper getup... they HAD to be curious about THAT. At least Mulder would be. But even Mulder would never be able to imagine in a million years what the Truth actually was. And where it was from. And what it was doing. And why... She did a fairly good impression of Dr. Evil's laugh - "Bwa-ha-ha-ha-ha!" - as she clicked the send button. XXX When Mulder arrived at work the next day, he heard from Skinner that Diana Fowley had just been taken to the hospital after what seemed to be a heart attack. She hadn't been doing anything strenuous at the time, which Mulder found perplexing. All she had been doing was checking her email. XXX Scully stood in the X-Files office. It was dangerous to be here, but after hearing of Diana Fowley's attack while reading her email, she had to see what it was that had been so alarming. The two photos displayed on the screen were impossible, but horribly funny. The one of her standing with Mulder's arm around her - Mulder in a PINK SHIRT! - was a fake, obviously. And the other one... well, yes, she remembered dancing with him, but they hadn't kissed. It had to be a manipulated picture. Although it WAS strange that it was in black and white. Scully snapped on the latex and touched the mouse, noticing that the reply address to the anonymous email was as interesting as it was obviously fake: shipper@heart.com. What was a shipper? And who was doing this? The same person who had accosted her in the hallway of Mulder's apartment last summer in the beekeeper outfit, perhaps? Well, Scully didn't really care WHO she was. She was obviously friendly; she'd put the bitch in the hospital with those clever pictures. Scully clicked "DELETE" and left the office. THE END
