Disclaimer: Do I look like Chris Carter (God I hope not). Well good, cause I’m not. I’m borrowing his characters cause he’d never let them do what I let them do. I’ll return them in time for Season 7. Repeat...they’re not mine, they’re CC’s, 1013’s, Fox’s, DD’s, and GA’s.
Dana Scully opened the door to her apartment and stepped inside. Suddenly a pair of strong arms encircled her from behind and drew her backwards.
“Hello beautiful,” said a soft voice in her ear.
“Mulder you scared me half to death ,” Scully admonished. She leaned back in his arms and looked up. he bent slowly and kissed her.
“I’m sorry,” he said between soft kisses.
“What are you doing here?”
“I was driving home and I heard a song on the radio that just made me want to see you,” Mulder said. His kisses had strayed down to her neck.
“What was the song?”
“You’re just to good to be true,” he half sang half whispered into her ear, gently swaying back and forth.
“Can’t take my eyes off of you. You feel like heaven to touch, I want to hold you so much. At long last love has arrived and I thank God I’m alive. You’re just to good to be true. Can’t take my eyes off of you,”
“Oh Mulder,” she said kissing his cheek. She felt completely at peace in his arms, her back against him. Then her sense of smell came back to her.
“What is that delicious smell?”
“When I got here you weren’t home. Then I remembered that you had shopping plans. So I cooked.”
She backed out of his arms far enough so she could look at him. “You what?”
“You’re lack of faith disturbs me,” he said taking her hand and leading her to the table. A candlelight lasagna dinner for two was set up, still steaming hot.
He pulled out a seat.
“Lasagna with a pinch of rosemary. It’s good for the memory you know,” Mulder said as he took his seat.
Scully looked across at him and smiled. “It looks great. Where’d you buy it?” she smiled mischievously, taking a bite of salad.
“Hey who says I bought it?”
Scully raised an eyebrow, “Come on Mulder...there wasn’t anything in my refrigerator but a rotten tomato. And, I’ve never seen you cook ANYTHING much less a meal like this.
There was only one adult way to reply to that. He made a face and stuck his tongue out at her.
“Don’t point that thing unless you plan to use it,” she warned playfully.
“Who says I don’t?” Mulder shot back.
Scully stared at him for a moment, still smiling, “Eat your dinner.”
He pulled her chair over to him, “Define dinner.”
Before she could even think about answering Mulder had gotten up and swept her into his arms.
“Agh, Mulder!”
Anything else she might have said was cut off when he lowered his mouth to hers, and carried her to the bedroom.
(A while later)
“You know I now know what they mean by mind-blowing sex,” Mulder said trying to slow his breathing.
“You planned that,” she accused, laying her head on his bare chest.
“I planned something but it wasn’t that. You’re just so damn sexy and irresistible,” he said absently stroking her shoulder.
They lay in peaceful silence for several minutes, just enjoying the pleasure of each others touch.
Had it only been a week? A week ago they’d been asked to help on a case about missing school girls. It wasn’t an X-File, it was a favor to one of Scully’s academy friends. It had all lead to a ranch far out in the country. They’d found the girls in a ranch house, unharmed, not a single button on their school uniforms had been touched. But the man, who it turned out had lost his triplet girls to a school fire, had hopped on a horse and had tried to get away. With their cars too far down the road to be useful, Mulder, Scully, and her friend Agent Mathis had all jumped on horses and sped after him.
With her luck Scully had grabbed a Shetland pony with an attitude. Just as they were going at full gallop it had stopped completely, sending her flying through the air.
Mathis had continued pursuit never noticing, but Mulder had seen. Within seconds he was off his horse and running down the incline where Scully had fallen. Her eyes were closed and she wasn’t breathing when he got there.
He’d been so scared. He’d called her name several times as he started chest compressions. Then to his everlasting relief she had gasped and coughed, taking in gulps of air. As it turned out she’s had the wind knocked out of her and just needed a couple of thumps to shock her back to life.
Mulder had been so relieved that he’d kissed her without stopping to think about what he was doing. When they parted neither could move, neither could speak, neither could do anything but look into each others eyes. Only the sound of Mathis’ voice brought their staring contest to an end.
“Scully! Mulder! Where are you?”
“Here,” Mulder had said, getting to his feet. He’s leaned down to help Scully up too.
“I left the suspect up there handcuffed to a tree...What happened?”
After they’d gotten work taken care of they’d talked for hours in Scully’s hotel room.
After 6 years of foreplay, that night had been nothing short of amazing.
Scully smiled to herself, remembering. It was like that song. My life was complete
I thought I was whole
Why does it feel like I’m loosing control?
Never thought that love could feel like this
Then you changed my world with just one kiss
‘Now my life is complete,’ she thought to herself, ‘Now I’m whole,’
