Summary: What could’ve happened in BioGenesis.
Disclaimer: Let’s share.
Author’s Notes: First I was addicted to reading fanfic. Now
I can’t stop writing it. Here’s another BioGenesis story -- I
finally got that episode title right. Anyone else want to call
is just Genesis? Anyway, if all you’re looking for is to drive
up the ratings with underwear scenes, here’s a better
approach.

Mulder’s apartment lay quiet, bathed in the afternoon sun.
He rested calmly in bed, body exhausted but mind at peace
for the moment.
Somewhere in his clouded brain he heard ringing. It
sounded like his cell phone.
“Hello?” a woman answered.
Her heard another muffled voice say, “Hello? I’m sorry. I’m
trying to reach Fox Mulder.”
“Hold on please.”
Someone handed him the phone.
“Hello?” he managed.
“Mulder, where are you?”
“I’m here. I’m resting.”
“Where? Who answered the phone?”
He looked up, not really sure. Then he answered, “I’m
home. It’s okay, where are you?”
“I can’t tell you,” said Diana.
“Why did you call?”
“I had to know that you were okay.”
“Why wouldn’t I be?” he asked.
“I heard you were sick,” she sympathized.
“News travels fast in your circles.”
“Fox, I need to explain.”
“With what? More lies?”
He could barely keep his eyes open.
“Mulder, give me the phone,” Scully said taking it out of his
hand.
“I never wanted to hurt you,” Diana continued.
“Don’t worry. He’s fine,” Scully cut in.
“Put Fox back on the phone.”
“FOX is sleeping. As I’m sure you’ve heard, he isn’t quite
himself.”
“I can help.”
Scully stepped into the other room, not wanting to disturb
Mulder.
“We don’t need your help.”
“I know about the artifact,” Diana said. “I know it gave him
certain abilities we’ve seen before. I know how to reverse
it.”
“Or maybe how to finish him.”
Scully shrugged off her suit jacket.
“I care about him,” Diana insisted. “We were once
important to each other.”
“He depends on me now.”
“Not for everything,” she added taunted. “How long have
you been together?”
“Six years. And he never mentioned you.”
“It hurt him when I left. He loved me.”
“Well he lo...,” Scully paused. “I’ll never leave him,” she
finally said. “And he would never let me go.”
With that Scully clicked off the phone and tossed it aside.
She pulled her shirt over her head and went into the
bedroom.
She slipped into bed beside Mulder, his body shifting to
surround her. Mulder’s hand twitched over the bare skin of
her stomach. He opened one eye, then the other.
“Scully, are you coming on to me?”
“Mulder you threw up on me. I took my blouse off.”
He spooned up closer behind her.
“I’ll have to remember that move.”
“Be quiet. I haven’t slept in two days.”
He was still for a few seconds.
“I can’t believe what you called her.”
Scully looked at him over her shoulder.
“I didn’t call her anything, Mulder.”
“Well, not outloud,” he challenged.
Scully almost suppressed her giggle.
“And you were right,” he whispered. “I love you now.”

Short and sweet. Not very exciting, but fun I hope.
