The primary purpose of the
Grendelmen writing group is to provide an environment of camaraderie where
members can have their stories read and critiqued by the other members.
To accomplish this purpose, we have established a system of rotation such that only those who critique stories can have their stories critiqued. After an initial entry requirement of two critiques before a story may be submitted, the requirement is one critique per story submitted. There is no reverse requirement of a number of stories per critique. Members can get as far ahead in their critiquing as they want.
Since most writers would like to see their work published in a professional magazine or anthology, suggestions and leads towards this end will be provided by the Publishing Advocate. In addition, with the permission of the author, once a story has been published, a record to that effect will be posted on the Grendelmen webpage by the Webmaster.
The Grendelmen will not critique pornographic or other morally objectionable material. What is pornographic or morally objectionable will be determined by the Clearinghouse.
The name of the Grendelmen will never, ever, be changed to the Grendelpeople or any other gender-neutral form of Grendelmen. The name Grendelmen will be assumed to include all members of the group whether they be male or female.
