Spoiler Alert!
[Since my spacing command isn't working very well, here's some artificial spoiler space...]
[And some more...gee, it'd be nice if the stupid paragraph break was working properly...]
[And more...these are big-time spoilers, folks...]
[And more...computers are evil.]
[And a bit more. That should be enough.]

From CBR's Marvel previews for December, we have two interesting solicitations:
X-MEN: MANIFEST DESTINY #4 (of 5)
Written by MIKE CAREY, FRANK TIERI & OTHERS
Penciled by MICHAEL RYAN & OTHERS
Cover by HUMBERTO RAMOS
Iceman continues his westward saga. Can everyone's favorite, frigid X-Man survive Mystique's kiss of death? And if so, will he ever be the same again? Also featuring Nightcrawler and Mercury in tales of mischief.
X MEN NOIR #1 (of 4)
Written by FRED VAN LENTE
Pencils & Cover by DENNIS CALERO
Variant Cover by DENNIS CALERO
"The coroner's men flipped the redheaded corpse over so Dukes and Magnus from Homicide could get a better look at her. 'Better' being a relative term in this case, with the claw marks that slashed her face into a featureless, bloody mask and turned her guts into a butcher shop explosion.
"But the tattoo -- the simple, encircled 'X' above the left shoulder blade -- remained intact, and Dukes pointed it out with the toe of his wingtip once Peter the rookie was done heaving up lunch.
"'See this ink?' he said. 'Means she did time at this reform school upstate, run by this shrink, Xavier...'"

If you live in Canada, Wolverine and the X-Men will be airing Saturday, September 6 at 7 pm on YTV. Apparently we'll be the first to see it, which maybe makes up for the Spiral figure only being available in the US ;)
Edit: Pyro appeared in the first episode as an Australian teenager.

IGN has a preview of X-Men: Manifest Destiny #1, which features Mystique.

It's been confirmed there will be Mystique and Avalanche figures in the cutesy-chibi Superhero Squad line. Mystique will be in a two-pack with Weapon X Wolverine, and Av will be paired with Astonishing X-Men Beast. They are adorable. Don't know when they'll be out.
The trailer/teaser for the upcoming Wolverine movie was shown at the San Diego Comic-Con, and a large guy who appears to indeed be Blob was in it. That seems to confirm the rumours we'd heard a year ago about him being one of the Wolverine's Weapon X teammates in the film.

This preview of Uncanny X-Men #500 has to be seen to be believed. Blob is back! ...in a crazy way (he's on the fourth page).
June 23, 2008
As reported by Newsarama regarding a Heroes Con panel, apparently we'll be seeing a "Sisterhood of Evil Mutants" in Uncanny X-Men...

This page has our first still look at the Brotherhood in the Wolverine and the X-Men cartoon; it has Mystique, Blob, and Avalanche (again with the weird facial hair), among others. And the site claims the show will begin airing on August 2 in the UK. No word for anywhere else.

The first official trailer for the upcoming cartoon Wolverine and the X-Men has been released, and you can watch it at Newsarama. It features Blob, Avalanche (with weird facial hair), Mystique and Spiral, among many others.

Unfortunately, it has been announced that the Marvel Legends Spiral figure is now a Target exclusive. This is a problem for those of us who live in countries without Target. It's supposedly due out in September. You can see a few pictures of her in this photo gallery of upcoming figures.
Also, I asked one of Marvel's assistant editors if Pyro is returning to the 616 universe, and he said there are no immediate plans for him.

Word is that there will be an official Bowen mini-bust (partial statue) of Blob, but I haven't heard when it'll be out.
There have also been hints that there will be either a Pyro, Avalanche, or Toad statue/bust...personally, I'm laying money on it being Toad.
February 5, 2008
There's a trailer out for the new Wolverine and the X-Men animated series --- it prominently features Blob and Avalanche, and possibly Pyro (well, there seems to be an American blond kid manipulating fire). See it on YouTube, with a more official info page here.

Apparently, Marvel and Del Rey are going to be producing a girl-oriented manga series. According to the press release, here's the premise: "As the only girl in the all-boys School for Gifted Youngsters, Kitty Pryde, a mutant with phasing abilities, is torn between the popular Hellfire Club, led by flame-throwing mutant Pyro--and the school misfits, whom she eventually bands together as the X-Men." It's due out in 2009. Read more about it at Newsarama, although there's not much more info given so far.
