Once again, this is all part of the evil plot of Minmie. She somehow got it into her head that she would be so much prettier if everyone else looked dumb. So she used the same technology as the Robotech Masters (yes, she is in league with them, and with the Invid) use to program their clones to program everyone on Earth to use mucho latta hairspray. Further proof of the alliance with the Robotech Masters is Zor the clone's hair.
I mean- look at that Elvis 'do! I'm sure the original Zor Prime never had hair like that! With that much hair, there's no room for brains!
And it is because of the hair/brains ratio that ASC ultimately cannot whip ass like the RDF.
Only Louie has any brains at all, and he is unappreciated as a character on Southern Cross. (He hides them all behind a front of hair.) He also looks like one of the guys from Devo (that 80's band.... Whip it?) Anyway, Louie is cool, just like Nova. I would have given up on S.C. long ago if hadn't been for those two.
