Why Dana
Sterling
is not
Dana Sterling
First of all, a green haired intelligent woman who used to be a natural born killer and a sweet, kinda goofy but smart blue-haired guy DO NOT HAVE A SQUEAKY, ANNOYING, BLONDE DITZ AS A DAUGHTER!
Here's what happened (in my Robotech Universe):
Once again, it's all Minmie's fault. Minmie had a fling with her cousin Kyle and got pregnant. That's why she's so bitchy around him later. Having a baby will ruin her child-like figure! The baby naturally is a freak of nature and has no hair and very little brains. Minmie gives it to science. Dr. Lang tries out some of his hair-growth procedures on it, which is why the baby has fluffly blonde hair.
Minmie has often been jealous of Miriya and Max, because they are really happy and have a cute little kid. So she hatches a plot to switch her crack baby with their little Dana.
She volunteers to babysit Dana one day when Max and Miriya have to go kill stuff. Max and Miriya, against their better judgement, allow her to take care of their baby, mostly because they feel sorry for Minmie, who hasn't had much work lately. The story they hear is that Minmie took a few moments to brush her hair and Oh No! Seems Dana found her bottle of leg hair remover and poured it all over her head! Minmie rushed her to Dr. Lang, but he couldn't save her hair! So she hands a very sad Max and Miriya the switched baby, with little fluffy blonde locks growing in. Max and Miriya are so distraught (both of them take a real pride in their hair- that is until the Sentinels when they cut it all off...) that they don't notice that the baby is a lot stupider than their darling and a lot uglier.
But if this is true- what happened to the REAL Dana?
Two words...
NOVA SATORI
I mean- LOOK AT HER! She is obviously the child of Max and Miriya! She's got the hair, the bangs, the cool voice, the smarts- she's got it ALL baby!
(of course, she is voiced by the same actress as Miriya...)
Nova has the military strengths as her parents, but is more of a stickler for duty. This probably came from her having been lost as a child. She must have turned to the military police as a type of parental system.
Besides, Nova is so much cooler than Dana!
