Before MAX STERLING.

In her sights... Not that Max was a bad guy or anything, he's pretty cool in fact, but Miriya was a completely different person before she fell in love with him.
She was the epitomie of a Zentraedi- she lived to fight- to fly- to kill. And she was the tops of the tops. If she hadn't been so good at warfare, and if she hadn't also been so obsessed with her reputation as an ace, she would never have undergone micronization and sought out the micronian ace Max.

Miriya's pride is probably one of the most interesting things about her. Like Khyron, she is surprising human in that she is very emotional when it comes to her ability to fight and her reputation. Khyron has a very human lust for battle and an almost impish bad-boy attitude. Miriya is much more mature, but no less obsessed. Her opinion of herself, no matter how justified, is flying higher than the SDF-1. For this reason, she is extremely "put out" by Khyron's suggestion of a superior micronian.

Preparing to KICK ASS! Kick Ass Machine!
Miriya in her battle pod, or power armor(?)- a different one than the guys have, but I'm not sure of it's exact name. It's also much more agile and powerful than the mecha the males use. Basically it's a kick ass machine.

Miriya is the leader of the Quadranos, an elite fighting force of all-female pilots. Zentreadi naturally keep the sexes apart, so they also fight apart. The surprising thing is that the Quadranos are also considered the best fighting force in the whole Zentraedi army! (So blast the Spice Girls away and show them some REAL girl power!)

The Quadranos! Miriya with her commanding officer Azonia (who is really cool when she gets drunk!)

Her pride taking offense to Khyrons mention of a micronian ace that might be better than her, Miriya resolves to meet the micronian in battle and defeat him. No one is better than Miriya!

She takes steps to justify attacking the micronains (What's that Azonia? The connection must be breaking up...) so that she can defeat him.

It is my personal opinion that she is animated the best when she is in her battle gear going after Sterling. The cuts from her face to the actual action fully visualize her frustration with the micronian ace. Max does not really beat her in the fight, but she runs away from the battle without having killed him- enough of a defeat by her standards.
Wave file!

She does not beat him. After blasting intothe SDF-1, almost blowing the sick Rick up (wouldn't that have been a 'bummer'!), Miriya must flee and leave the ace behind.

The only alternative to disgrace after her defeat by a 'mere micronian' is to micronize herself so that she might infiltrate the micronian ship and seek out the ace again. Knowing nothing about him other than his status as an ace like no other in the micronian army, she sets herself whole-heartedly into this plan.

Woo! Watch it Miri! Impressionable young boys watch this show! Better get less skimpy micronization tanks!
