The Hall of Records
You approach a sprawling building. A sign is engraved across the arching entrance, again, in strange script. You say to yourself, "This must be the Hall of Records." You enter. Ahead of you is a desk. A woman is sitting at it, a rather odd woman, with talon-like hands and....wings. Arching blue wings. The woman is reading a periodical.

She looks up and studies you, with a curious interest. Then she speaks. "Tai'coasch? Umbeakay morturo?" You frown. "Oh, I'm sorry," She says smiling. "You must be one of the tourists. Forgive me...I did not know you didn't know our tongue. Now, what is it you wish to know?" Uncertain, you looks down at the ground, thinking. She smiles once more. "Let me guess. You want to know more about our planet, right?" You nod. "Head over to one of the available computer access ports. They are pre-set to tell you all you want to know." With that, she looks back down at her literature. You approach one of the access ports. You look it over, and, frowning, press one of the buttons. Text is then displayed:

The Planet Talos

The Planet Talos. A beautiful planet reknowned for it's many riches and accomplishments. This red and orange planet sprawls from continent to continent with cities. If not for the several bodies of ocean, one might mistake it for a miniature Coruscant. This planet is the proud accomplishment of eons of labor, under the supervision of the planet's founder, Baron Vulture Taelonos. Originating on the planet Sykosis XII, Baron and a group of survivors came to this lush planet after fleeing the destruction of the Empire. Once there, they swiftly established a system of government and began construction of the most ancient city. This city, located on the Western Continent, is known as Ro'Dynaria. That is where you are now. Visitors to the planet often stop here first to explore the vast commercial districts, as well as to pay respects to the center of worship, the Temple of Terrane. As time passed, the society grew into more distinct social classes.

Social Classes
Taelonian society is separated into four distinct social classes:

Jays-These are civilians. They account for the majority of Talos' population. Jays are often very meek, and are merely inhabitants of the planet, with no purpose other than to run business and provide entertainment for tourists.

Owls-These are the scientists and inventors. The Owls advance Taelonian way of life and are reknowned for their many accomplishments that not only benefit their society, but the rest of the galaxy as well.

Eagles-These are the law-makers. Eagles compose the law, make judicial and legislative decisions, and are responsible as ambassadors to other planets, as well as with the New Republic and the Empire.

Birds of Prey-These are the warriors of Talos. Reknowned throughout the galaxy as fierce fighters with incredible stamina. Birds of Prey that hold the most status are often Jedi Knights.

Religion
The religion of Talos centers around the worship of their God, Terrane. It is said that Terrane, possibly a Jedi Knight or the equivalent of one, came to Baron Vulture Taelonos in spirit one day and told him where to flee to. Under the direction of Jedi Terrane, Baron led his people to the promised land, Talos. Once there, Baron and the others immediately constructed a temple of worship for the great Jedi. Through the ages, the religion has flourished into the state it is today. Other religions include:

Hell Falcons-A fanatical group that worship the "Devil" of Taelonian religion. This Devil, suposedly the embodiment of the Empire, is known as Karack. The Hell Falcons are constantly attacking worshipers of other religions, and commiting various hate crimes. They believe that by doing so they are preparing the way for Karack's arrival on Judgement Day.

Griffens-A Polytheistic group that worships the multiple-headed Griffen. Each head of the Griffen's represents a different God to them. Although they have a tendency to force their religion on others, they are mostly harmless.

Great Accomplishments
The Taelonians accomplished many things. Accomplishents can be separated into two basic categories: Military and Science.

Military
Parameter Defense Units- These machines were designed to protect the system surrounding Talos. When an unauthorized craft enters the system, the Units immediately scan it for illegal cargo, weapon emplacements, etc. If ship appears hostile, Units activate "Attack Mode" and bombard the ship with an onslaught of Pulse Bombs. Similar to a Pulse Cannon, Pulse Bombs immediately detonate upon contact and cause severe damage. Bombs can be launched repeatedly at high speeds, and are fueled by the Unit's core.

Pulsar Cannon Stations-These Stations are positioned strategically throughout the planet's surface. If a hostile ship or fleet evades the Parameter Defense Units, the Cannon Station engineers immediately bombard the ship(s) with an advanced version of the Pulse Bomb. These updated version causes more damage than the original, and the shockwave covers a large radius. Only when the ship(s) come in close proximity to the planet can these weapons truly be effective.

Devastator Missiles-These weapons of mass destruction rival even the greatest of Imperial achievements. Devastator Missiles, usually equipped to Taelonian Assault Cruisers for emergency use, create a blast so devastating it can wipe out a fleet of ships, and even severely damage Capital Ships. Later models of this weapon have the destructive capacity to throw a planet off it's rotation, causing the planet to careen wildly through space, or shift to a different orbit. Eventually the inhabitants would die. These weapons are handled with utmost care and are well guarded, to prevent Imperial hands from reaching them. HANDLE WITH CARE.

Planetary Deflector Shield/Cloaking Device-This device, created in the past one hundred years by Taelonian Military Strategists, was placed after a brief raid of Imperials. Fearing that the Imperials would attempt to capture their planet again, the Taelonians devised this device, which not only prevents planetary bombardment, but also makes the planet invisble to the naked eye.

Taelonian Assault Cruisers-These cruisers, designed by the elite Taelonian military, are a grand sight to behold. These five mile long ships, modeled after the bird of prey with it's arching wings, were created for the sole purpose of protecting the Cammarros system and its borders. Comes littered with many Pulsar cannon emplacements, as opposed to the Imperial Star Destroyer's turbolasers. Equipped with advanced ionic hyperdrive, capable of achieving incredible hyperspeed velocity. Deflector shields are unbelieveably strong, and either "wing" is equipped with one Devastator Missile Tube, with a payload of ten missiles per tube. Each Assault Cruiser holds from ten to twenty squadrons of Taelonian Fighter Crafts, for backup.

Taelonian Fighter Crafts-These craft, usually found on board Assault Cruisers but are regularly owned by upper class families, are very much scaled down versions of the Assault Cruisers, capable of carrying four to six beings. Fighter Crafts come equipped with a Covert Download Modem, capable of tapping into other ships or space stations to extract such information as ship's log, destination, etc. Rather than Devastator Missiles, Fighter Crafts come equipped with Ionic Mines, which are released from launch tubes on either side of the craft. Mines detonate in response to laser fire(or any other projectile) as well as ships that come within close proximity. All ships caught in the blast are rendered inoperable, save the Taelonian Fighter Crafts theirselves. This allows the crafts to make a quick escape and avoid capture.

Science
Rejuvinax-A rejuvination chamber, similar to Bacta Tanks. However, these devices run solely on Fusion power, and heal at double the speed as Bacta Tanks. Although many commercial enterprises have competed for the rights to market this product, Talos is not interested.

Trans-metallic Cloning-A very odd cloning procedure. A sample of DNA from a test subject is injected into a cyborg skeletal structure. This structure contains "pores" that, once the structure has analyzed the DNA, releases a special chemical that creates a "skin" around the body. The skeletal structure slowly dissolves and transmogrifies into actual "bone," and "internal organs" develop. Finally, the subject's brainwave patterns are transferred to the clone. This procedure is a medical advancement that is only used if someone is dying of a severe illness, and their conciousness and life force are transferred to the clone.

Essence-This is essentially a "liquified" form of the Light Side of the Force. Essence was extracted for the sole purpose of the Jedi Knights. Upon consumption, this chemical allows the user to temporarily become one with the Force, amplifing his/her powers exponentially. The formula for this strange compound is known only by select Owls and is only trusted to few individuals.

You step back from the port, and look around. You head for the door. Where to now?
